Teens and young people have always had struggles struggles,but right now, there are added difficulties that dint exist years back. The world is changing at a fast pace and our teenagers have pressure they they dont know how to manage.
Does it mean you are a failing as a parent if your young person needs to see a counsellor? absolutely NOT. I would never take your role, I only compliment and sometimes give a different objective perspective without no judging your parenting skills.
Most young people under 18 with psychological problems don’t get help, but therapy can be a successful option for teens and adolescents who are not coping.
We all feel down sometimes, talking to someone can really help. Growing up can raise all sorts of challenges, seeking intervention can be difficulty but it is a brave Why mething to do.

I don’t pass judgement on what you have done (or what you haven’t done) and I work with you to get to where you want to be in life. . I don’t offer magic fixes but a collaborative space between the young person, parents and me the therapist could bring reasonable results.
I have considerable experience working with Teenagers and young people in schools and colleges, supporting young people aged 13-19 years old providing a safe, friendly environment to talk.
I am here to listen to you; I won’t judge, I won’t tell people what to do and I won’t give out any personal information. What I will do is try to help the young person explore your feelings and make positive decisions for yourself.
If you find it difficult to talk, there are other creative ways that we can use to work together to help you make sense of what’s going on for you.

I work with young people 1:1 in the same way I work with adults. The benefit of being heard, of having your experiences valued and validated unconditionally and without judgement, can help untangle your thoughts and feelings, helping you to feel better.
I will support you to understand the struggles you are experiencing, develop strategies and ways to look at things differently.
Together we will develop the life skills to live in a more grounded and confident way.
I won’t tell you what to do or how you “should” do things, you are the best expert on your life. We work together in a respectful, safe and confidential way.
